ARTIST STATEMENT
"Art is like meditation for me: it makes me feel like I am in the right place at the right time.
The delight of watching a pencil line transform itself into some unexpected shape, or a drop of watercolor dissolve into an uncontrollable form or yet, the surprise of glimpsing the vibration of pigments under layers of soft pastel are all pleasures that pull me back to this meditative state, again and again.
I am hooked on the feeling of making art in the moment, being put in the spot, and rendering the human figure or a landscape with free-hand and a free spirit.
In my paintings I want to convey the interaction of light and shadow while expressing spontaneity.
This is how I practice my Art."
